Alu-TV® EventsAlu-TV® at BLECHEXPO and SCHWEISSTEC 09 in StuttgartFrom 1-4 December 2009, the new exhibition centre in Stuttgart, Germany, was again host to the double trade fair BLECHEXPO and SCHWEISSTEC. Alu-TV® was there to bring you information on innovative products, trends and news in the fields of sheet metal processing and joining technology.
With some 950 companies from 30 countries, both trade fairs were again highly popular internationally. The exhibition area covered 70,000 m2 and the 25,000 visitors were able to find out about new, innovative products and solutions from the sector. Exhibits included novel equipment and processes for manufacturing the chassis of low fuel-consumption cars, frames for electrically driven bicycles and heat-resistant pipes for exhaust-gas recirculation.
The technical presentations and podium discussions accompanying the trade fairs aroused great interest on the part of the trade visitors, as did the exhibitor forum and DVS information event covering arc welding.
The international trade fair for sheet metal processing was again the European sector meeting point this year for users and manufacturers, presenting products, machinery, systems, accessories and hardware and software – for the craftsman through to highly industrialised sheet metal fabrication. In contrast to other trade fairs, BLECHEXPO and SCHWEISSTEC thus managed to maintain their strong position despite an economically difficult year in 2009.
